Quick search:
You can quickly search all fields that have search enabled for them by using the search text box in the header or the search box in the search page. This will search all fields within every record. It will also search indexed documents if the upload field has search enabled.
Advanced search fields:
You can build an advanced search by clicking on the advanced search toggle below the main search box. This will allow you to select a field from the dropdown menu. You can only select fields that have search enabled.
Search field types:
- Text - Free text
- Richtext - Free text
- Date - Single date selector or date range
- Complex Date - Formatting: 2025 | 2026 dd/mm/yyyy
- List - select terms saved within that list field
- Multi List - select terms saved within that list field
- Upload - search index document content
| Field Type | Search Logic | Required Value Syntax |

| Text, Richtext, URL | Partial Match (Case-insensitive containment) | Enter the keyword or phrase. It will match records where the field contains that text. |
| Number, Currency | Exact Match | Enter the precise numeric value. |
| List, Multi List | Exact Match (on the selected term) | Typically selected from a dropdown. If manually constructing the query, you must use the exact text of the list term or its internal idterm. |
| Upload | Partial Match | Enter the keyword. It searches file names and the full text content of the uploaded files (e.g., PDFs). |
| Date, Complex Date | Exact Date or Range | Single Date: Enter the date (e.g., 2024-05-26). Date Range: Use the pipe symbol | to separate the start and end dates. Date Range Examples: 2023-01-01 2024 |
